The information in these reports is gathered from a variety of resources, including interviews with victims, Iraqi governmental agencies and officials, as well as field visits, when possible and relevant. This report focuses on three categories: Protection of Human Rights, Rule of Law, and Promotion Activities of UNAMI. Of particular concern in this report were the refugee and internally displaced persons humanitarian crisis, targeted and indiscriminate killings disproportionately affecting civilians, treatment and conditions in Iraqi and Multinational forces (MNF) detention centers, obstacles for detainees to due process, and the growing numbers of 'honor killings' and 'honor crimes' in Kurdistan.
