Men Can Be Victims of Abuse Too

The National Domestic Violence Hotline recognizes that men can also be victims of abuse, with one in seven men in the U.S. experiencing severe physical violence from an intimate partner and one in ten experiencing rape, physical violence, or stalking. Despite being underrepresented among callers, many men do not report abuse due to social pressures, stereotypes, minimization of male victimization, or lack of perceived resources. The Hotline provides confidential, judgment-free support 24/7 through calls or online chat, aiming to ensure all victims have access to help and information.
