This report offers a snapshot of the national prevention landscape, with a particular focus on collaboration and funding. The National Prevention Scan was administered by the National IPV Prevention Council to learn from those engaged in prevention across a broad spectrum, including all community-based, statewide, or national efforts to advance social change towards peace, fairness, and economic stability. Significant findings are organized around respondents’ prevention efforts, evaluation, funding sources, and partnerships. Findings illuminate current and emerging needs and pathways for sustaining and advancing prevention across the country.
Based on the findings in this report, the Council recommends 4 key strategies around 1) community-based prevention efforts; 2) supportive prevention evaluation, 3) expanded prevention funding, and 4) creative prevention partnerships. The Council encourages programs to find pathways to enact these recommendations within their communities.
