This document reviews the project, initial barriers, statewide advocacy, and training leading to the implementation of a statewide protocol and best practices guide for domestic violence victim advocates and legal aid attorneys working with the child welfare system within the Team Decision Making (TDM) structure and process.

This document briefly discusses the scope, magnitude, consequences, and causes of VAW, and highlights the importance of coordination between sector-specific approaches, civil society initiatives, and government institutions to address VAW. The document includes examples of national commissions and community-based networks to improve inter-sectoral coordination.

Committee members used this catalog when developing North Carolinas 10-Year Plan to Prevent Intimate Partner Violence to inform their recommendation of dating violence prevention and healthy relationship promotion programming for use in community, faith and school-based settings.
