This training was designed specifically for those who provide direct services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence to address questions at the intersection of self-managed abortion care and your work to support victims and survivors of gender-based violence.

The 5th annual National Prevention Town Hall features anti-violence prevention approaches in the Mountain region of the United States through a virtual gallery tour of innovative change-making projects and collectives. This gallery tour can allow us to learn about what’s being mobilized beyond the systems we often work in for violence prevention. A panel follows the gallery tour, weaving together meaningful connections and address questions about reconnection, restoration, and re-indigenizing practices in the Mountain region.

This graphic illustration tells the story of how health equity is connected to preventing gender-based violence, and describes meaningful ways to advance these shared goals through collaboration. In observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month and National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, NRCDV staff Patty Branco and Ivonne Ortiz chat with Juliana Lozano, Founder and Executive Director of Despierta, a culturally specific organization in Charlotte, NC, serving Latina immigrants.

Abortion is essential health care. In this Technical Assistance Question of the Month (TAQ), Ondine Quinn, Senior Director of Programs at Provide, Inc., discusses who are the most impacted by abortion bans and restrictions and how people are being criminalized for abortions

Federal resources are critical to reducing and eliminating violence. Both the House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (LHHS) Appropriations Subcommittee and the House Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee proposed bills that will maintain some supports for survivors, such as FVPSA programs and rental assistance programs, but also eliminate critical elements that support survivor and community safety and justice.

This report details findings from a survey conducted by the National Domestic Violence Hotline and If/When/How on the prevalence of reproductive coercion, specifically among survivors of domestic violence.

The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) is disappointed and concerned by the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling today in Grants Pass v. Johnson.
