The message from Korpal and others is that domestic violence can be confronted and lives can be pieced back together.
The Admirals say they’re eager to engage in the issue and highlight services available to those in crisis. In recent years, sports teams and leagues have been pulled into the conversation after a series of highly publicized accusations of domestic violence against professional athletes.
“We’re able to use our pulpit to reach out to people,” said Jon Greenberg, president of the Admirals. “If we can do that in a small way and help, at least we’ve done something positive.”
