Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) 2026 is here!
Last year, the Domestic Violence Awareness Project developed the theme With Survivors, Always for DVAM 2025. Together, we explored what it means to be in partnership with survivors toward safety, support, and solidarity.
For DVAM 2026, we’re building on that momentum, with a deepened focus on action. Across the United States, we are seeing growing challenges that affect access to services, support, and pathways to safety for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence. Survivors deserve action.
We invite you to join us as we move from awareness to action to meet our current moment. Now more than ever, we must stand with survivors, always. That also means working to prevent violence before it starts by changing the norms, environments, and conditions that allow violence to occur. Domestic violence is preventable and together we can build communities where all relationships are rooted in respect, equality, and peace.
