NRCDV Fall 2019 Newsletter: #1Thing, One Movement - Working Together Towards Our Collective Liberation

Thursday, October 03, 2019

With Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) now upon us, we once again have an opportunity to connect and unite survivors, advocates, and organizations working to address domestic violence, raise public consciousness and promote action to support this effort. Last year, the Domestic Violence Awareness Project expanded the Awareness + Action = Social Change campaign and introduced #1Thing, a unified message that moves people to action and acknowledges that everyone has a role to play, no matter how small, in our collective liberation.

We encourage all to incorporate the #1Thing message into their own awareness and action campaigns by utilizing the tips and tools outlined in the #1Thing Action Guide, and to follow/share with us on FacebookTwitterInstagram (@NRCDV), and Tumblr (@NationalDVAM).

#1Thing is about moving people from awareness to action. It inspires thinking about how individuals can take small steps that leads to real social change.
