Statistics show that 74 percent of sex trafficking happens in rented lodging. Tricia Freeman with the Sarpy County Attorney’s Office said they have been contacted by motels that became aware of suspicious activity, “so whatever it looks like on any given day, we’re committed,” to the effort to halt these crimes.

Much to the surprise of its sponsor, Gov. Chris Christie vetoed a bill that would have created a four-year pilot program in Ocean County to electronically track convicted domestic violence offenders using GPS devices that would alert victims on their cell phones if their attackers were nearby.

The Balochistan Assembly has unanimously passed a bill seeking an end to violence against women at workplaces. Dr Shamma Ishaq, the chairperson of the house standing committee on social welfare, women development and youth affairs, tabled the Women Harassment Bill 2016 in the house on Saturday.

FRANKFORT, Ky. – A bill filed in the Kentucky House would give victims of domestic and dating violence the ability to legally break their home or apartment lease as they leave a dangerous situation. The sponsor of House Bill 41, Rep. Joni Jenkins (D-Shively), says the legislation will be heard in the House Judiciary Committee next week.
