Collaboration is the Way Forward
Building a culture of peace, safety, and respect is collective work. We have always known that our vision for this future is cultivated through collaboration, but we continue to face challenges in gaining the investment necessary to support it. The truth is that we already have everything we need to build collective power. Now is the time to revisit our why so we can recalibrate our how.
Join the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and the National IPV Prevention Council for our sixth annual National Prevention Town Hall. This event will draw on lessons learned from the past five regional events, bringing folks together across the country to generate ideas and learn from each other. The Council will share findings from their recent National Prevention Scan, offering insights and exciting possibilities for sustaining and advancing prevention through collaboration.
Our opening event will explore the importance of collaboration in our work, and introduce innovative partnerships that are working across the country to advance the prevention of domestic violence. We will hear from a variety of preventionists whose partnerships across fields and sectors are resulting in meaningful impacts. Throughout the week, you will have the opportunity to dig deeper into each partnership by engaging with them in learning circles. Feel free to register for as many 1-hour learning circle sessions as you would like. Come with your curiosity and leave with actionable ideas around forging similar partnerships in your community!
After registering for this opening event, be sure to register for a series of 1-hour Learning Circles focusing on each featured collaboration, scheduled from September 16-18: https://nrcdv.coalitionmanager.org/eventmanager/trainingevent/seriesdetails/11.
