NOVA’s Campus Advocacy Training (NCAT) is a 30-hour advanced training academy focused on building knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking in higher education. The Training will be delivered using a blended-learning approach, which includes seven (7) consecutive weeks of virtual training and self-paced assignments designed to foster participant engagement and discussion.
This academy is intended for campus advocates and community-based advocates serving college populations and covers topics such as ethics & boundaries, confidentiality, privacy, and privilege, language justice, federal laws, restorative justice, forensic exams, and much more.
