Addressing intimate partner violence (IPV) is the majority discussed within the context of survivor safety, but to address the issue as a whole, to ensure community safety, we must also examine the resources and accountability programs available for those who cause harm. In recent years, innovative programs to explore their behavioral choices, educational programming were developed. Tactics and Choices, originally created by Men Stopping Violence, is a free two-hour program offered to defendants arraigned on intimate partner violence-related offenses in New York City’s Supervised Release Program. It focuses on understanding power dynamics, promoting accountability, and fostering behavioral change to prevent future violence. This interactive workshop will introduce participants about the program and engage in a mock class session, gaining hands-on experience with its core components.
