This discussion will explore the significant and often overlooked consequences that domestic and other forms of interpersonal violence have on maternal and infant health. Panelists will present the latest research on the impact of violence on maternal health outcomes, best practices for addressing violence in the clinical setting and how California policymakers can take action to reduce violence and create healthier futures for all. 

The session will cover:

• Effective strategies for healthcare professionals to address intimate and sexual violence and promote prevention in maternity care settings.
