SART Toolkit: Resources for Sexual Assault Response Teams

This toolkit is a collection of resources for communities that are considering building a SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) or those that want to improve their existing coordinated response to victims of sexual assault. Effective SARTs leverage the knowledge that each component of the multidisciplinary team brings to the response. By using the tools in this resource, and by working with the strengths of each agency, SARTs are able to provide a coordinated response to ensure the needs of victims are met.

Together for Girls: We can end sexual violence

It brings together 10 public and private sector organizations focused on one common goal: halting sexual violence against girls. Current actions under the Together for Girls initiative include surveys, programs, and partnership activities.

Addressing violence against women and HIV/AIDS: What works?

From October 27-29, 2009, a working group of expert researchers, policymakers, and practitioners met to review the current state of evidence and practice in developing and implementing interventions and strategies to address the intersections of violence against women and HIV. The meeting aimed to make policy and programmatic recommendations for national and international HIV/AIDS programs and develop an agenda for future program development, evaluation and research efforts. This report summarizes the presentations, discussions and recommendations from the meeting.

Measuring Bullying Victimization, Perpetration, and Bystander Experiences: A Compendium of Assessment Tools

Some researchers continue to examine the risk and protective factors associated with bullying experiences. Others are working to design, implement, and evaluate bully prevention interventions aimed at reducing bully victimization and perpetration, as well as increasing prosocial bystander involvement in bullying situations. The ability to measure bullying experiences broadly and completely is crucial to the success of these activities.

Guidance on Domestic Violence Discrimination

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued this guidance making it clear that residents who are denied or evicted from housing as a result of domestic violence may have basis to file a discrimination complaint with HUD under the federal Fair Housing Act.
