The board of directors play an important role in the success of survivor-serving organizations, including advancing equity values. Transitions and adaptations due to the COVID-19 pandemic have encouraged new approaches for board engagement and expansion with an equity lens. This includes relationship with the executive director, board recruitment for representation of people being served, and adaptation of policies that encourage equitable practices. In this webinar recording, presenters share their experience with board recruitment and engagement, and also executive director and board relationship building strategies. Tools and resources for board engagement are also provided.
