This session from NRCDV's 2021 Prevention Town Hall features the voices and lived experiences of Women of Color advocates/leaders who are leading prevention in their organizations and communities. Presenters reflect on what the current realities of local and Statewide programs and what is needed to disrupt the status quo in order to really elevate WOC survivors towards leadership.
Building on the momentum from the 2020 Prevention Town Hall featuring the East North Central region of the United States, the 2021 event explored prevention strategies that center survivors who are most marginalized, uplift grassroots and community-based organizing, honor the leadership of survivors and advocates who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, and promote real transformative change that centers racial justice in our agencies.
