The Personal Is Political-and Economic: Rethinking Domestic Violence

This law review article argues that we must consider economic forces as being influential to the problem of violence against women. Weissman argues for a “paradigm shift” which “emphasizes the importance of structural forces in the lives of families who experience domestic violence,” especially economic forces (p. 436).
