This report provides an analysis of the results of a survey administered over a period of six weeks to over 1,300 Hotline callers who identified as Latin@ survivors of domestic violence. Survivors were included in the survey if they were not in immediate crisis and agreed to participate. The questions were geared towards survivors’ experiences accessing services and demonstrated the challenges faced by survivors due to language access issues and fears when contacting the police or courts due to immigration issues. The report concludes with a discussion of policy and training implications in addition to recommendations to ensure that all survivors regardless of immigration status or English proficiency are safe.
