“A consuming fire is both a tragedy and a critical juncture for change that will inspire many. If the juncture is ignored or swept aside, if we step away rather than step in, then it is only a disastrous tragedy.” – Zen Master Norma Wong

Anti-violence organizations have plenty of experience navigating multiple and interconnected crises. In the past several months, especially, we have been challenged by shifting landscapes and complex demands. As advocates, we may have pondered: how do we weather the turbulence while forging new paths, inspiring others to embrace change, and remaining committed to the mission of our work and the vision of our organizations? As organizational leaders, we may have been urged to consider strategies for identifying and addressing moral injury as part of our overall approach to cultivating resilient and sustainable work environments for staff. Additionally, organizations may have sought guidance on how to create decision-making processes that stay true to their missions while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders. And many of us, regardless of our role within an organization, may have wondered how to remain hopeful and optimistic about the future even in the face of immense challenges. We at the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) have certainly grappled with these reflections, which we explored in several capacity building resources. We encourage you to step in.

This Technical Assistance (TA) Bundle includes TA Questions (TAQs) and webinars designed to support anti-violence organizations that are tending to multiple and interconnected crises – present and future – with intention, wisdom, and deep care for advocates and survivors. Promising practices and thoughtful strategies are shared by NRCDV staff and consultants throughout these resources to equip anti-violence organizations to accomplish current goals while also ensuring their readiness to meet future challenges. Ultimately, this TA Bundle is intended to inspire advocates in their ongoing work of envisioning and co-creating a better and radically different world.
