PreventIPV Winter Newsletter: Healthy Me, Healthy We for #TeenDVMonth

Wednesday, February 14, 2018

“We are shouting from the rooftops that the only way to change – to truly irreversibly create lasting change in our culture – is to start with our youth.” – Daisy Coleman, Charlie Coleman, Jada Smith and Ella Fairon of SafeBAE

Young activists live at the heart of our movements, playing unique roles and offering important contributions to advance social transformation. For young people, by young people leadership development and mentoring programs are an integral part of the movement to end gender-based violence. PreventIPV is dedicated to lifting up the work of young activist leaders this February, for Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month, and beyond!

Throughout the month, the PreventIPV project is featuring 4 "tools of the week" developed for and/or by young activists to promote healthy relationships with self and others, in recognition of Break the Cycle's #TeenDVMonth theme  – Healthy Me, Healthy We!

This issue showcases these featured tools, and highlights opportunities for engagement and learning identified by the National Domestic Violence Awareness Project for #TeenDVMonth.
