"The Domestic Violence and Housing Technical Assistance Consortium (DVHTAC) continues to receive a steady stream of TA requests from survivors across the country seeking assistance with locating and accessing housing options that are affordable, available and safe. Long (often closed) housing program waiting lists, the shortage of affordable rental housing, and limited availability of financial assistance (including rental and mortgage) remain pervasive. While the objectives and actions outlined in the Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness (view the recently released Frequently Asked Questions About All In) and the Biden-Harris Administration’s Blueprint for a Renters Bill of Rights are encouraging, there are many pressing issues and their responses lack proportionate urgency. As many forge ahead, countless others are left behind."
