“After years of hard work, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act is law and its campus safety provisions, sometimes called Campus SaVE, have final regulations requiring colleges and universities to take new steps to end sexual violence. AAUW documented the development of these regulations this spring, a step that provides additional details to help schools implement new laws.

In the United States, the number of trafficked victims is largely unknown, but we do know that every day more vulnerable people are trafficked into the sex trade and labor industry.

Each year, during the month of October, domestic violence victim advocates, survivors and their loved ones, allies, and the general public join together to mourn the lives lost, celebrate the progress being made, and connect their efforts to put an end to violence in intimate relationships.
