The Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence (API-GBV) proudly invites you to their National Summit: Growing from Our Roots. As a culturally specific national resource center, API-GBV is dedicated to disrupting gender-based violence in Asian/Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. This year's conference will be held from August 27 to 29, 2024, in San Francisco, California, at Hotel Nikko, located at 222 Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94102.
With a vision of a world free of gender-based violence and equal opportunities for all to thrive, API-GBV works tirelessly to uplift the voices and experiences of AAPI communities impacted by violence.
The summit will focus on four key areas: uplifting voices, building capacity, engaging allies, and advocating for policies and practices. In addition to the keynote address, the conference will feature a variety of workshops and panels covering topics such as trauma-informed care, culturally specific interventions, and community mobilization. Attendees will also be able to network and connect with other advocates and professionals in the field.
