Advocating for Survivors on Probation and Parole

Location Name
Virtual
Event Date
Thursday, June 05, 2025, 03:00PM

Victims of domestic violence who are on probation or parole often find themselves having to choose between complying with the conditions and requirements of their sentence and keeping themselves and their children safe from their abusive partners. Community-based advocates can play a critical role in helping survivors successfully complete supervision, particularly when they work in partnership with survivors’ probation or parole officers. Join us for a chat with Jen Waindle, who directs BWJP’s National Center on Improving Community Supervision Responses and learn some effective strategies advocates can use when working with survivors on probation and parole.
