This unique 2 1/2 day training will explore the complexities and challenges of maintaining confidentiality and privacy for survivors of domestic violence. The focus will include, but is not limited to, collaborating with community partners, navigating differing obligations among interdisciplinary staff, selecting cloud services and databases, agency use of technology, privacy and criminal justice data, campus confidentiality obligations, and social media privacy. Attendees will leave better equipped to enhance services for survivors where it is crucial to maintain privacy and confidentiality. Funded by the Office on Violence Against Women, presented by the National Network to End Domestic Violence’s Safety Net Team and the Confidentiality Institute, our excellent faculty includes national experts on technology and innovative leaders in the legal and victim services fields. The conference is free to attend, but participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging costs.
