National Convening on Witness Intimidation

Hosted by the Denver District Attorney's Office with support by AEquitas' Smart Prosecution-Innovative Prosecution Solutions Grant. This multidisciplinary event will bring together professionals from around the United States to discuss best and promising practices for preventing and responding to witness intimidation. Specific topics will include assessing fear of retaliation vs. credible threats to the safety of a witness, community engagement, case analysis when intimidation occurs in human trafficking cases, the effective use of intimidation evidence, and outlining a witness protection toolkit.
