An Online Resource Library on Domestic & Sexual Violence

From Referral to Relationship: Building Warm Handoffs and Consistent Support for Survivors

Location Name
Virtual
Event Date
Wednesday, January 28, 2026, 01:00PM

Survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault often face a maze of shelters, advocacy programs, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and legal services. When systems don’t communicate, survivors end up repeating their stories over and over, which can delay help and cause further harm.

This webinar is all about changing that. We’ll dive into practical strategies for creating warm, trauma-informed handoffs that help survivors feel supported every step of the way. You’ll also learn how to build habits for consistent follow-up, so no one falls through the cracks, and how to build stronger collaborative partnerships.

If you are an advocate, case manager, DV/SA program staff member, healthcare professional, law enforcement officer, legal partner, or part of a community-based organization, this session will give you tools to strengthen collaboration and deliver survivor-centered care that truly works.
