Shelter the Whole Family

Event Date
Tuesday, August 10, 2021, 02:00PM

Too often survivors have to choose between their personal safety and the safety of their pet. When leaving without their pet isn’t an option, survivors are forced to stay in a dangerous environment. Rose Brooks Center is working to change that by providing the education needed for shelters to safely house pets with their owners. This 4-hour training will provide participants with an understanding of domestic violence as well as:

  • How domestic violence and animal abuse are connected
  • Federal laws regarding Emotional Support Animals and Service Animals
  • How to provide safety to survivors and their pets while protecting your organization
