Stimulus Check Outreach Part II: Hard-to-reach Populations

Event Date
Thursday, April 22, 2021, 03:00PM

Last year, hundreds of organizations engaged in the vitally important and difficult task of helping households who don't usually file a tax return get their stimulus checks. Today, there are still eligible people who haven’t gotten their money and may now risk missing out on three rounds of stimulus checks. These include some of the hardest-to-reach people who need direct support. Outreach to families with immigrants, people experiencing homelessness, and people with limited internet access is also needed as these populations may also qualify for more money through 2021 tax credit expansions like the Child Tax Credit.

Along with guests from Code for America and Tax Help Colorado, this training from the Get It Back campaign will cover how to:

  • Use the Get It Back campaign's new outreach toolkit to reach out in your community
  • Build partnerships to expand your impact
  • Assist people to successfully file a tax return even if you aren’t a tax preparer
  • Navigate outreach barriers and challenges
