Storytelling for Social Change: Sharing Your Childhood Story of Domestic Violence

Event Date
Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 03:00PM

Why share your story?
How do you know when you’re ready?
What are the themes of your story?
How can you amplify your message to impact change?

The Adult Children Exposed to Domestic Violence (ACE-DV) Leadership Forum is pleased to announce the upcoming release of a new speaker’s guide published as part of the NRCDV’s From the Front of the Room series. Specific to sharing childhood stories of domestic violence, the guide explores considerations for storytellers in harnessing the power of your experience to inspire action, hope, strength, and unity.

Presenters will reflect on their own experiences as seasoned storytellers within the context of their movement work, offering practical tips and strategies for building your capacity to bring voice to this unique experience.
