This story features lessons learned from three coalitions in Alaska, Ohio, and Rhode Island that implemented approaches to engage men and boys in IPV prevention: Alaska Men Choose Respect, Ohio Men’s Action Network (OHMAN), and Ten Men.

This presentation for law enforcement covers how investigations can be improved using language tools and how to hold officers more accountable by using the U Visa certification process as a crime fighting tool.

A coalition of national organizations gathered feedback from nearly six hundred advocates and attorneys from across the U.S., learning that many immigrant victims of domestic and sexual violence are now too afraid to call the police or go to court to get help. Advocates report that survivors have an increased fear of deportation, retaliation by their abusers, and separation from their children.

The purpose of this Toolkit is primarily to support frontline workers in their work with male victims (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships). This work may be delivered from organizations supporting male victims or in any other setting where men might present as domestic abuse victims looking for information, advice and support. 

For families experiencing domestic violence, home visitors can play a key role in screening for abuse, assisting with safety planning and providing referrals to advocacy services. NRCDV's May 2019 TA Question of the Month highlights the experiences of a collaborative initiative implemented in the state of Florida to better equip home visitors to offer support to families experiencing or at-risk for intimate partner violence.

This model policy provides guidance regarding the establishment of priorities, guidelines, and procedures for law enforcement officers in response to domestic violence calls.

This webinar addresses the impact adultification has on children who experience trauma with an emphasis on black girls. Through storytelling, participants will learn about from presenter Jacqueline Miller’s story as it unfolds in three dimensions, revealing how to develop a framework for building resilience with youth and communities of color.

Every survivor that domestic violence programs work with is a potential homicide victim. Advocates know this as they work with survivors, advocating on their behalf and building relationships with them and often their families. Domestic violence programs deal with the reality of knowing that a homicide could happen at any time, yet not allowing this knowledge to overpower their work with victims.
