While the number of studies examining intimate partner violence (IPV) in Latin@ populations is growing, research on this issue continues to be limited in quality and breadth. This document from the National Latin@ Network compiles and summarizes key research on this topic.

This resource centers the experiences of women of color and people harmed by their partners, connecting violence against women to broader efforts advancing racial justice and prompting a paradigm shift in the field of intimate partner violence by moving beyond traditional strategies and responses that rely on punishment and criminalization to highlight restorative responses grounded in community, healing, and transformative justice to improve safety for survivors.

In September 2016, the Center for Social Innovation launched SPARC (Supporting Partnerships for AntiRacist Communities) to understand and respond to racial inequities in homelessness. Through a mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) study, the SPARC team documented high rates of homelessness among people of color and began to map their pathways into and barriers to exit from homelessness. This report presents key findings from this study.
