In So You Want to Talk About Race, Ijeoma Oluo guides readers of all races through subjects ranging from intersectionality and affirmative action to "model minorities" in an attempt to make the seemingly impossible possible: honest conversations about race and racism, and how they infect almost every aspect of American life.

The document describes the discriminatory practices of predatory lending and their impact on African Americans and Latinos in particular. Analysis is offered as to the effects of predatory lending on the already disproportionate wealth gap between African Americans and whites and Latinos and whites. Mortgage lending, auto lending, and payday lending are all concisely reviewed. Advocates may find this document helpful as a primer and tool for prioritizing and acting on issues that affect affordable housing.

Environmental Justice, like RJ, incorporates a social justice framework. It seeks to reduce the inequitable environmental burdens born by communities of color, women, indigenous communities and those living in economically disadvantaged areas or developing nations.

On September 14, 2020, the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and the National IPV Prevention Council, in partnership with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, and the Ohio Domestic Violence Network, hosted our first ever National Prevention Town Hall, highlighting innovative social change efforts in the East North Central Region of the United States.
