The work to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, teen dating violence, and stalking exacts a high cost on advocates. Engaging in a variety of intentional creative practices can help advocates learn new skills to support survivors and prevent advocate burnout.
Art helps us express our feelings, share our experiences, and strengthen our connections to one another and to our own creativity. The session will include time for making art, sharing, and discussing ideas for incorporating these practices into advocacy programs. In this interactive session, participants will explore artistic strategies that enhance survivor wellbeing and foster advocate resiliency.
