Creative and strategic community collaborations can create opportunities for supplementing traditional relocation funding and/or providing assistance when survivors do not qualify for these funding options. As one such strategy, NRCDV's July 2019 TA Question of the Month highlights examples of partnerships to provide free moving services to survivors.

Continuing the Dialogue serves as a follow-up piece to the CDC's landmark Beginning the Dialogue publication, exploring lessons learned over the past 15 years and highlighting paths forward for the prevention field.

This Technical Assistance (TA) Bundle includes TA Questions (TAQs) featuring creative programming ideas that advocates can adapt or replicate in their agencies to support survivor empowerment and healing. These TAQS are intended to inspire advocates to think outside the box and to build bridges and forge new alliances with non-traditional partners.

For families experiencing domestic violence, home visitors can play a key role in screening for abuse, assisting with safety planning and providing referrals to advocacy services. NRCDV's May 2019 TA Question of the Month highlights the experiences of a collaborative initiative implemented in the state of Florida to better equip home visitors to offer support to families experiencing or at-risk for intimate partner violence.

This report is for advocates in and outside of law enforcement who are dedicated to improving the treatment and safety of transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals by updating police department policies. The model policies are meant as a starting point to improve trust and police-community relations.

Youth-led activism is an important part of the anti-violence movement. In NRCDV's February 2019 TA Question of the Month, Rebecca Balog and Tanae LeClaire from the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center explore ways that adult advocates can expose youth to technical skills and create spaces necessary for them to successfully navigate and impact the anti-violence movement. 

This brief provides a synthesis of the research connecting housing instability, economic insecurity, substance misuse, and domestic violence. It also includes a short discussion of the broad social context in which patterns of domestic violence occur and a series of recommendations for decision makers, policy developers, and organizational leaders working to prevent domestic violence in their communities.

Every year the National Call of Unity kicks off Domestic Violence Awareness Month by offering an opportunity to mourn, celebrate, and connect with advocates from national, state, and community-based organizations, governmental agencies, allied movements, survivors and their family and friends.

NRCDV's DVAM 2018 countdown webinar explores how our collective One Things can lead to the social transformation we all desire to see in our communities and the world. 

For domestic violence and sexual assault victims, the public benefits programs that support basic economic security are of critical importance. This report discusses the findings from a 2017 survey of over 1,100 service providers. It details barriers survivors encounter when trying to access public benefits programs, cross-sector collaboration and systems-level advocacy, and possible legislative changes to these critical programs.
