Voices for Victims: Lawyers Against Human Trafficking Tool Kit for Bar Associations
Publisher(s):The Bar Association Toolkit was developed to assist state, county, city, and local bar associations in hosting events and panel discussions regarding human trafficking as a means to raise public awareness. It contains information on the myths of human trafficking, a guide for choosing potential speakers, questions for the speakers, glossary of terms and other resources. Final Report on the project entitled: Animal Welfare and Domestic Violence
This study assesses animal maltreatment in samples of women seeking safety at shelters and community samples of women. Women in shelter were much more likely (54%) to report partners' hurting or killing of their pets than women not in shelter (3.5%).
