Prevention Programming Content Topic Results

In September 2020, the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence held its first National Prevention Town Hall. In the closing plenary of the town hall, panelists Chéree Thomas, Lisa Winchell-Caldwell, and Averett Robey offer wisdom on how the domestic violence field can integrate anti-racism work, intervention, and prevention into one mission.

At this moment, together we bear witness as the pandemic of racial injustice, systemic oppression, and exploitation continues to rage across the country, causing many losses. This moment in time is a call for transformation – a critical opportunity to revisit the roots of our movement to end gender-based violence in ways that can purposefully restore humanity for all.
