This report highlights key findings from a series of listening sessions with faith leaders, hosted by the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and Jewish Women International. The report highlights the role faith leaders and communities play or could play at the intersection of faith, spirituality, religion and gender-based violence response and prevention, with a particular emphasis upon increasing safe housing options for survivors.

Traditionally, these services have been restricted to non-transgender women or they have been sex-segregated, excluding male survivors (transgender and non-transgender) or individuals who do not identify within the gender binary (as male or female). A growing number of shelters and support groups affirm that inclusion of survivors of all genders is much easier than some may think.

"Dating Abuse: Tools for Talking to Teens" explains the dynamics of teen dating abuse and provides usable strategies for all adults to have realistic and successful conversations with young people. The program and materials are offered free of charge.

This is an abbreviated version of a 16-minute documentary with first hand accounts from domestic violence survivors and commentary from rabbis and a social worker experienced in treating victims and survivors of abuse.

JWI offers a number of domestic violence resources for Jewish clergy, including prayers, sermons, webinars, music, and the "Embracing Justice" clergy guide. This guide offers key information and resources to support rabbis and cantors in working with domestic violence victims, families, and perpetrators.
