Tribal Policy Resources

Tribal policy impacts the ability of the hundreds of sovereign nations to access effective changes specific to individual tribes and how they legally can or cannot protect families experiencing domestic violence due to jurisdiction of sovereign nations. Tribal justice systems and legal impacts of public policy promote the safety of Native families. The various tools in this section – highlighting resources, funding, and implementation of new policy – provide both technical assistance and resources for enhancing the ability of tribal justice systems to research, restore and participate in public policy changes.
