This brief paper describes 10 simple steps that parents of sons can take to help combat the culture of violence for future generations.

With support from the Department of Justices (DOJ) Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), the Institute of Medicine and the National Research Council formed a committee to conduct a study of crimes of sexual exploitation as they affect citizens and lawful permanent residents of the United States under age 18. The committee was asked to recommend strategies for responding to commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking of minors in the United States, new legislative approaches, and a research agenda.

This uncurriculum and facilitator’s guide was developed to promote resilience among teens and counteract negative factors that lead violence victimization/perpetration, sexual harassment, and gender based bullying.

This report discusses the purpose of the statewide Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team (DVFRT) and identifies key findings and recommendations for decreasing domestic violence-related homicides.

The report presents the first global systematic review of scientific data on the prevalence of two forms of violence against women: violence by an intimate partner (intimate partner violence) and sexual violence by someone other than a partner (non-partner sexual violence). It shows, for the first time, global and regional estimates of the prevalence of these two forms of violence, using data from around the world.

NCAVP's report collects data concerning intimate partner violence within LGBTQ and HIV-affected relationships from 19 anti-violence programs in 20 states across the country. In 2012, twenty-one intimate partner violence (IPV) homicides of LGBTQ and HIV-affected people were documented; the highest yearly total ever recorded.

This Applied Research paper reviews available evidence on the effectiveness of gender violence prevention programs on college campuses, explores various models of campus-based prevention programming, and discusses the implications of emerging themes from the literature for practice.

These guidelines aim to provide evidence-based guidance to health-care providers on the appropriate responses to intimate partner violence and sexual violence against women, including clinical interventions and emotional support. They also seek to raise awareness among health-care providers and policymakers of gender-based violence in order to improve health-sector response to the problem.

This public resolution sponsored by the White House’s Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS highlights the disproportionate impact of HIV on transgender communities and outlines the White House plan to funnel more funding into researching HIV in those communities, providing prevention activities and life-saving, culturally competent care.

Designed in collaboration with religious leaders from countries around the world, this toolkit offers religious leaders, faith communities and Inter-religious Councils the practical resources and tools to carry out awareness, prevention and advocacy programs to help end to violence against women.
