Public benefits available

Public benefits play a critical role in increasing the safety of immigrant women who survive domestic violence. The documents included in this section provide information about eligibility to receive public benefits for immigrant women and the types of benefits available.

The National Immigrant Women's Advocacy Project (NIWAP) offers a state-by-state map of public benefits available to immigrants across the country. If you have additional questions or need technical assistance on immigrant victim access to federal and state public benefits, contact NIWAP by email at info@niwap.org or by phone at 202-274-4457.
